Asphalt Shingles

Asphalt shingles are the most common type of roofing material used on steep slope roofs, and can be installed by the competent team at Garlock-French Roofing Corporation. Shingles consist of a fiberglass base mat, followed by a weathering grade asphalt, then a colored granule surface. In recent years the variety of styles and colors has increased dramatically.

The typical roof project begins with a careful set-up around your property, removal of the existing roofing, along with preparation of the roof deck. Next, we install proper waterproofing, flashings, vents, and saddles. Shingles are installed using galvanized iron nails (never staples) in a secure manner. We perform a daily site clean-up along with a thorough final clean-up and inspection. In certain circumstances a recover over the existing roof may be an option.
